Yep. People always point to CP3 only getting like 10-15 MPG, but those were frequently horrendous stretches. It’s not like LAC was just getting obliterated like their first game every single night. They often were in games and had some leads off the back of Kawhi/Harden playing well, but then the bench came in and got murdered. CP3 struggled to get the ball up the court quickly which put a lineup of olds (Batum, BroLo) in a bad situation. Defensively, he is easily blown by and not having a Wemby level defender makes him tough to hide. Kobe and Miller have been competent defensively, and competent to good on offense depending on the night. It’s not just a vibes thing, it’s playing young legs who add energy and higher impact.
